| This lot consists of two relatively early pieces of Nazi electioneering literature.
The first (shown left) is a 5-1/4 x 7-3/4 inch, 16 page booklet called ,,Dich ruft Deutschland (Germany Calls You), printed before Reichstag elections in the fall of 1933 for distribution to voters in Wahlkreis Baden in southwestern Germany. The booklet informs voters about issues like the disarmament of Germany and jobless people as well as programs like the Reichsautobahn already well under way in Hitlers Germany. A sample ballot at the end asks everyone to vote for the N.S.D.A.P. (Hitler Bewegung or Hitler Movement) candicates. The candidates listed are Adolf Hitler, Rudolf Hess, Joseph Goebbels, Franz Seldte, Wilhelm Frick, Ernst Röhm, Franz von Papen, Hermann Göring, Walther Darré and Alfred Hugenberg. |

| The well-illustrated booklet tells all about Hitler and his political ideas, his being a foreigner, his service in the army, etc., the statesman, the worker, and even the 25 points of the Nazi Party. At the end of this 1932 booklet the reader is asked to vote for Adolf Hitler in the upcoming election for Reichspräsident. It was in the fall of 1932 election that Hitler received the votes necessary for Von Hindenburg to seriously consider naming him Chancellor, which happened in January 1933.
The spine of the cover is rough and partially separated and scotch taped. The inner content is very good. Rare early Nazi election material! |
