This is a very nice example of the rare 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch, 16 page, very heavily illustrated soft cover booklet ,,Wo Liegt die Zukunft?’’ (Where Does the Future Lie?) as published in German by Europa Verlag of London - Berlin - Paris probably in 1940.

Billed as “Information Booklet No. 8", the premise of the book is extremely interesting.

Each of the seven left hand pages shows a ridiculous or pathetic photo made in Britain or France, and across from them on the seven right hand pages are pleasant, sincere contrasting photographs of Germans engaged in some useful activity.

Downcast black “French” POWs are contrasted with confident marching Landsers, a grotesque English cabaret stripper is contrasted with a pretty German girl in an exercise wheel, while British bums sleeping along a urine-soaked wall are shown on a page opposite a healthy, happy German construction worker.

The back cover includes a derogatory picture of “The War Agitator,” British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Extremely rare and interesting Third Reich domestic propaganda material in very good condition.
