These are modern day replicas - not authentic Third Reich originals. We have collected originals for many years and they are very expensive to buy. We decided to reproduce them so that collectors would be able to get a nice selection of extremely accurate replicas at a very reasonable price. The stickers in this lot include:
1) a 5 inch Hotel Pitter Salzburg sticker showing the hotel with three Nazi flags flying on top against a backdrop of the Alps. The Pitter was heavily used during the famous music festival each year.
2) a 5 inch Hotel Adlon Berlin sticker showing the company logo against the Brandenburg Gate. The Adlon had the best address in Berlin at Unter den Linden 1, on Pariser Platz next door to the office of Albert Speer and less than a block from Hitler’s Reichschancellery.
3) a 3-1/4 inch round ADEFA sticker often found attached to merchandise made by Aryan hands as noted in the lettering in the lower arc.
4) a 4-3/4 inch Hotel Excelsior Frankfurt am Main sticker showing the Hindenburg flying over the hotel with the central railway station on the left.
5) a 4-1/4 inch tall Deutsche Reichsbahn from Reichsbahndirektion München showing a lady in traditional Bavarian costume in front of a train with the Apls in the background.
6) an extremely nice graphic on a 5-1/4 inch tall sticker that came on the end of the box in which Trommler shoes for children were purchased. Trommler made some of the best high-top shoes for the Hitler Youth.
7) a 4-1/2 inch tall Hotel Elephant Weimar sticker showing the hotel logo to the right of a partial Nazi swastika flag. The hotel data and an elephant are shown below the hotel logo. Hitler stayed in Hotel Elephant (also called Haus Elephant during part of its existence) when we visited the city of Weimar.
In keeping with the system common to hotel stickers in Germany during the Third Reich, these stickers do not have an adhesive back. The hotel put the stickers on the bags of guests by applying the adhesive with a brush to the back of the sticker. This is very easily done today using a small brush and ordinary wallpaper paste.
