This is a nice used example of the 7-1/4 x 9-3/4 inch, 32 page card stock cover cartoon book called Soldatenleben (Soldier Life) for all draftees into the army. Barlog is famous for his very humorous approach to military life and the cartoons in this book are the best he ever did, and they cover every aspect of the life of a recruit in the Nazi Wehrmacht.

Most of the cartoons are satirical and show exactly the opposite of what happened to a recruit once he got in the army. The drawings are excellent, showing typical German soldiers, uniforms, barracks, weapons and field equipment in very nice detail.
Published by Frundsberg Verlag Föllmer & Esser in Berlin without a date, but probably 1939. Hard to find and in good used condition.
