This is a very nice example of the large 36-1/2 x 42 inch, multicolor war map of the ,,Kriegsschauplätze im Fernen Osten’’ (The War Zone in the Far East) dated December 1941. The map side is actually composed of four maps, each of which measure about 16 x 20 inches.

The four maps are the Indo-Pacific Region, Australia and Oceania, Burma to New Guinea, and East Asia. The East Asia map focusses on China, Manchuria, Korea and Japan. The map is very useful for determining the German name equivalents of all the places shown.

There are small wear holes in a couple of fold corners, but otherwise this rare Nazi map is in excellent condition.
