We won't buy or sell Nazi medals anymore unless they have indisputable provenance. These do. We bought them from a daughter of the man to whom they were awarded along with the award documents, and the entire lot was in her possession since her father's death. These medals and documents for sale on this web page have never been in the hands of a militaria dealer, or outside the family. The photo on the left is of the man, Anton Schmid, an Obergefreiter in Stabsbatterie II./ Artillerie Regiment 134.
The document for the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the War Service Cross 2nd Class with Swords were signed by a Major General, the Division Commander. The East Medal award document was signed by a Lieutenant and Company Leader and the Wound Badge award document was signed by the Head Doctor in field hospital number 29. We do not have a document for the Iron Cross 1st Class. The Silver Civil Service Cross was awarded to a World War I veteran, the father of Anton Schmid, but we don't have the award document that goes with it.

This is a beautiful frosted Iron Cross 2nd Class with a magnetic center and beautifully burnished edges, and its original ribbon. The backside of the ring is marked with the number 13 for the manufacturer Gustav Brehmer of Markneukirchen. Even the background of the number 13 on the ring is still frosted silver.
It comes with its original Award Certificate dated 16 October 1943 with a stamp of the 134th Infantry Division and the signature of the Division Commander.

This is a beautiful bright Iron Cross 1st Class with a magnetic center. The backside of the pin is marked with the number 1 for the manufacturer Deschler und Sohn of München, and it has the pin catch typical of Deschler Iron Crosses.

We do not have the Award Certificate for this medal but it came with the other Anton Schmid medals and it is an excellent match for the Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse above.

This is an excellent bronze example of a Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerten with its original ribbon.

This is an very nice example of a Nazi Verwundetenabzeichen in Black. It comes with its original Award Certificate dated 16 May 1944 for a wound on 5 February 1944, with the stamp of Feldlazarett 29 and the signature of the Staff Doctor in charge.

This is an very nice example of a Nazi Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen 2. Stufe with its original ribbon, as awarded to Anton Schmid's World War I veteran father, Michael Schmid. We do not have the Award Certificate for this medal but it came with the other Anton Schmid medals on this web page.
