Oberleutnant Ewald Hohmann was the author of this World War II German military educational manual called Geschütz- und Zugaufgaben der Panzerjägerkompanie (Platoon Exercises of the Anti-Tank Company). This is the second expanded edition from 1940 with 18 illustrations mixed in the 72 pages of text as published by E.S. Mittler & Sohn Verlag of Berlin. In April 1942, a few years after writing the original edition of this Nazi military manual, Hohmann was awarded the rare Deutsches Kreuz in Gold for his actions as the Commander of the II./Panzer-Regiment 4.
Listed with each different exercise is the goal, the enemy, terrain, objective and implementation. Assignments include how to set up a, artillery position, heavy artillery in battle, in fog, during an infantry attack, machine gun spearhead troops against enemy tanks, crossing rivers with anti-tank materiel, anti-tank guns against an enemy machine gun attack, and more.
The last four pages have advertising for other Wehrmacht manuals produced by Mittler in Berlin, including a variety of Reibert 'Dienstunterricht' publications. This 80 year old 72-page, 4-7/8 x 6-1/2 inch (123 x 168 mm) softcover Nazi manual is complete and in very nice, used condition. No odor.
