STAMP CANCELATIONS
Three new German stamps were issued at the time of the International Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition in Berlin in 1939. The stamps were a 25 pfennig blue stamp featuring the new Kraft durch Freude (KdF) Car or “Volkswagen”, a 12 pfennig red stamp featuring the world speed record setting Mercedes-Benz and Auto-Union race cars and a 6 pfennig green stamp that pictured the first Mercedes-Benz car.

PRAGUE
Left, a 5 x 6-5/8 inch mm cream colored commemorative envelope sent by Prague stamp dealer Paul Kuhrt to Mrs. Hulwa in Vienna. The envelope has four Bohemia and Moravia Adolf Hitler stamps on it, canceled in Prague on 20 April 1942, Hitler's 53rd birthday.
SA STANDARTE 83
A 4-5/8 x 7 inch cream colored envelope postmarked on the 9th of November 1938, and bearing two Gautheater Saarpfalz stamps and one red 12+38 Pfennig Adolf Hitler stamps. The stamps were canceled in Weimar in October and November of 1938 during the Week of German Books. One of the cancelations is for the Gau Tag of the NSDAP in Thüringen and shows a Deutschland Erwache banner. Opened on the right end.

The 4-3/8 x 5-5/8 inch envelope shown left once contained a letter from the Laursen family in Skive, Denmark to Mr. Johannes Laursen in Alliance, Nebraska in the USA.
The envelope shown left was sent by the Nazi helmet manufacturer E. Martin Scheithauer in Zwönitz to a trading company called Netri in Sofia, Bulgaria on 15 August 1939. The Scheithauer company was located in the Erzgebirge south of the large industrial city of Chemnitz.

They mailed it on 7 May 1940 and it arrived at its destination on June 1940, AFTER it had opened and approved by Oberkommando der Wehrmacht censors. They made no secret about censoring mail as they taped their approval seal on the back of the envelope after they were done with it.

This is a piece of original Nazi Party printed matter sent by the office of the Kreisleiter to SA Standarte 83 in Kassel on 11 March 1936.
A representative of the NSDAP Kreisleiter sent it as a reminder that no reply had been received regarding correspondence mailed on 24 February 1936. Note the address of the NSDAP Kreisleitung Kassel-Land is Adolf-Hitler-Haus 3! Measures 4-1/8 x 5-5/8 inches and in good oiginal condition, exactly as shown.

Left is a 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch philatelic sheet with the Third Reich postage stamp called Rennen um das Braune Band. This Block-Ausgabe was issued on 22 June 1936 at the famous horse race track München-Riem where the Braune Band horse races took place during the Third Reich. The winner in 1936 was Nereide, a horse owned by Baron Heinrich Thyssen (son of the famous German industrialist), and the prize money was the highest in Europe at the time.
