We acquire a great many lots of material which include photo albums and loose Third Reich photographs. Some of the photos photo sets are entirely unrelated to other subject matter but are unique enough in their individual content to warrant listing them alone as separate lots for sale. Their appeal may be to historians, authors, publishers, TV program and motion picture producers, museums, highly specialized collectors, etc. If there is information on the back of photos we will mention it, but generally there is little else we can tell you about the who-where-when of the photos. Pt 2: left - an original Third Reich photo postcard of a Nazi policeman in his official car. Note the black out lamp on the windshield.
On 15 May 1942 this card was mailed from Frankfurt am Main to an address in Vienna. The message on the back is written in shorthand. Complete with purple Adolf Hitler postage stamp.

P127: left - a genuine Third Reich deckle edge professional photographic image from a negative of a Gebirgsjäger smoking a pipe, wearing his Bergmütze complete with Edelweiss pin, and carrying a rifle with a folding bayonet.
This photo measures about 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 inches, and on the back the the Gebirgsjäger wrote a "to commemorate my service" note in pencil, dated 8 December 1944.
