Wiener Illustrierte 23 February 1944
AN ISSUE OF
WIENER ILLUSTRIERTE
MAGAZINE FEATURING
SS AND POLICE UNITS
IN THE WEHRMACHT
This is a good example of the rare 23 February 1944 issue of the weekly photo magazine Wiener Illustrierte (The Viennese Illustrated) which features SS-Kriegsberichter photographs on the cover and inside depicting troopers of Nazi SS and Police units in action. The big 11-1/4 x 15-1/4 inch, 16 page magazine is almost all photos and captions.
Waffen-SS High Mountain School in Tirol
Kriegsmarine
SS Totenkopf
The photo on the front cover shows a Signalman in a Police Company on the East Front advising his comrades of a Red Army advance. The lead article has nine photograph on two pages that tell the story of the Waffen-SS High Mountain School in Tirol. Great Nazi uniform and equipment shots!

Other photo articles feature a Nazi Kriegsmarine U-Boot (submarine) crew sinking an Allied ship, Japan - Land of the Rising Sun, the German Theater in Lille, France, New Ladies Shows from old Hats, A Pause in the War in the South East, and the Behring Research Institute in Lemberg.

Cover spine is split about half way up from the bottom, otherwise very good condition.

Don't miss our superb 1939 Nazi police photo book.
