This is a fine example of the rare 5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inch, 40 page heavily illustrated soft cover 3rd edition Nazi police recruiting booklet. ,,Willst du zur Polizei?’’ (Would You Like to Join the Police?) as published by the Reichsführer-SS and Chief of German Police in the Reichsministry of the Interior (der Reichsführer der SS und Chef der deutschen Polizei im Reichsministerium des Innern) in Berlin, Heinrich Himmler, probably in 1940.
Polizei-Skischule
The well-illustrated booklet also contains excellent documentation, providing a young man interested in police work with answers to all his questions. The book explains the relationship between the police and the Führer, Adolf Hitler.
Standarte der Polizei
It tells you the police leaders are, what the duties of the police are, requirements, pay, training, the Sicherheitspolizei, the Wasserschutzpolizei, Verwaltungspolizei, police sports, SS-Verfügungstruppe in the Schutzpolizei, etc. The text is well-illustrated with full-page photos of police with Hitler, on parade in front of the Brandenburg Gate, in training, in service, etc. Very good condition.
