This is a fine used example of the rare 5-3/4 x 8-1/4 inch, 40 page heavily illustrated softcover Nazi police recruiting book Willst du zur Polizei? (Would You Like to Join the Police?) as published by the Reichsführer-SS and Chief of German Police in the Reichsministry of the Interior (der Reichsführer der SS und Chef der deutschen Polizei im Reichsministerium des Innern) in Berlin, Heinrich Himmler. It is a Dritte Auflage or Third Edition probably from 1940.

The well-illustrated publication contains excellent documentation, providing a young man interested in police work with answers to all his questions (even answers to questions about the wearing of SS runes on the police uniform!). The book explains the relationship between the police and the Führer, Adolf Hitler. It explains who the police leaders are, what the duties of the various types of police are, requirements, pay, training, career possibilities with the police, the Sicherheitspolizei, the Wasserschutzpolizei, Verwaltungspolizei, police sports, SS-Verfügungstruppe in the Schutzpolizei, etc.

The book begins with portraits of the leaders of the police and its various branches, such as Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Dr. Wilhelm Frick (wearing his Nazi Blood Order), Chef der Sicherheitspolizei and SS General Reinhard Heydrich and Chef der Ordnungspolizei and SS General Kurt Dalugue and continues with excellent full-page photos of police with Hitler, on parade in front of the Brandenburg Gate, in training, in service, etc.

Willst du zur Polizei? is a very rare Third Reich police publication.  This 80+ year old example is absolutely original to the Third Reich period and it is in good used condition, exactly as shown. Original cover is missing.
