Tritt ein in die FS der deutschen Partei
A single card stands out as difficult for us in that we can find very little information about it. We suspect that those who view our website and their extended contacts within the collector community are probably the best source of information that exists. Without offering any provable data, a few contacts and several internet blogs acknowledged the image on the card, some saying it is Slovakian, others citing a similar poster, etc.

With that in mind, we decided to post pictures of the mystery card in the hope that someone somewhere can tell us more about it. The postcard is exactly 103 mm wide and 150 mm tall and features a young man with a black cap with an eagle on the side and a brown shirt with a red armband featuring a black swastika on a white shield. Above the man's right shoulder are the letters FS and below him is the slogan TRITT EIN IN DIE FS DER DEUTSCHEN PARTEI (Join the FS of the German Party).

The back side shows the card was never mailed, but has a red 3 Groschen Austrian stamp and a brown 3 Pfennig German Hindenburg stamp, both canceled with a 10 April 1938 Vienna cancelation that measures 38 mm in diameter. In the lower left corner is an "Austria returns Home!" commemorative imprint above the word PIRAL.

Anything you can tell us about this postcard would be appreciated.

We have purchased several thousand color and black & white postcards from Third Reich Germany, Reichs Party Days postcards, Sanke silver gelatin aviation and Pour le Mérite German postcards from World War I, Swiss and German shooting association postcards, German Luger postcards, etc. These were collected many years ago and are in very good condition. We have not the slightest question about the originality of 99.9% of the cards and nearly all are quite easily identified as to publisher, artist, personality, printing methods and so on.
