Lot #141 - the unused 100 x 140 mm postcard left shows heavily armed men of the Ordnungspolizei manning a machine gun post on the roof of a building in Warsaw in 1939.

The unused card is from the WHW Police SS series of the war year 1939/40.
Lot #142 - left, an unused 105 x 148 mm black & white photographic postcard showing a cargo supply ship being protected by a Kriegsmarine ship flying a Reichskriegsflagge.
War photographer Meisinger took the picture and Verlag Wehrfront Alfred Becker of Berlin published this original Nazi postcard. It was never mailed and has a blank back. Good condition.

Lot #170 WMb - left, an original 87 x 136 mm Third Reich photographic postcard of the main entrance to the Wien Internationale Messe, the annual industrial fair of Vienna. Note the huge Nazi eagles flanking the entrance and the swastika banners.
This postcard was never mailed but has a 1939 Nazi Party Days stamp featuring Hitler on the back which was canceled at the Fall Vienna fair in October 1939. Very good condition.

Lot 304 - the 89 x 138 mm authentic photographicThird Reich postcard on the left shows the front of a German travel agency in Graz, one year after the reunification of Austria with Hitler's Germany, according a handwritten note on the back. Note the large Hitler portrait in the window.

Lot #144 - a superb painting of a Panzerspähmann by Ernst Kretschmann was used by Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann to produce this 104 x 148 mm Nazi postcard. This card was sold at the Haus der Deutschen Kunst or House of German Art in Munich and it is their catalog number HDK 182. Note theTotenkopf-Kragenspiegel or skull and crossbones collar tab on the tank man!

The famous Adlon Hotel on Unter den Linden 1 in downtown Berlin was built in 1907 by Lorenz Adlon. It was one of Europe's most famous hotels between the two world wars, and survived World War II. It was heavily damaged however, and not rebuilt until after the reunification of East and West Berlin and Germany. It is now a deluxe 5-star Kempinski Hotel.

Lot #158- "Feeding the Pigeons in Front of the Feldherrnhalle" is the caption on this original 91 x 139 mm Third Reich postcard. The Odeonsplatz looks a lot more peaceful in this picture than in November 1923 on the day of the failed Nazi Putsch! This card has a postmark from Regensburg, but it was written on 18 August 1935 by a visitor to Munich.

Lot #176 - the original Third Reich postcard left shows the famous Berlin landmark, the Adlon Hotel with the Brandenburg Gate in the background. It was mailed to a lady in Princeton, New Jersey on 30 July 1936 by an American visiting Berlin, probably in connection with the 1936 Summer Olympics which would officially start 2 days later. Note the Olympische Spiele Berlin 1 - 16 August 1936 stamp next to the cancelation.
Lot #133 - the original Third Reich postcard on the right measures 105 x 147 mm, has the title Deutsche Musik or German music and features famous german musicians among them Wagner and Beethoven.
This Nazi postcard was produced by the Deutsche Reichspost for the Olympia Postal Exhibition that was held in Dresden from 1 - 16 August 1936. It was canceled at this exhibition on 2 August 1936 and mailed to a stamp collector in Dresden. No written message on the back.

Lot 32 - left, a 103 x 148 mm color postcard produced for the September 1935 Nazi Party Days in Nürnberg. The stunning design was by Professor Richard Klein and the card was produced by Franz Eher Verlag Nachf. of Munich, the same company that published Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf books.
This card was mailed from the Reichsparteitag on 16 September 1935. Very good used condition with a message and address written in light pencil on the back.

Lot #208 - the unused 91 x 141 mm photographic postcard right shows the Nazi guards at the Honor Temple on the Königsplatz in Munich (see also PC #153 at the top of postcard page 6), capital of the Nazi Movement. The Ehrentempel housed the coffins of the Nazi martyrs that died during the failed November 1923 Nazi Putsch. Note the SS guards.
