Offered for sale on this USMBOOKS website are fifteen original Third Reich art postcards produced by order of Nazi Reichskommissar and Gauleiter Josef Bürckel in Vienna. They were produced in cooperation with the Community "Friends of the Visual Arts" and the proceeds went to the Agency of Austrian Welfare in Vienna (Geschäftsstelle Österreichhilfe-Wien).

Each 4-1/4 x 5-7/8 inch postcard has a painting by a famous, Nazi-approved artist featuring a landscape, famous city landmark or building. All have captions of the subject, painter and location of the painting on the back. The paintings are by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Canaletto (real name Bernardo Bellotto), Rudolf Böttger, Jakob Alt, and several others.

Subjects include Adolf Hitler's birthplace Braunau, the Dachstein mountains, a farmer's wedding, the Dürnstein ruins, the main square in Linz, the Grossglockner, Steyr, Traun Lake, the Goldenes Dachl in Innsbruck, etc.

All 15 Nazi postcards are unused. They were never mailed and have no writing on the backs.
