Lot #96 - right, an original drawing by artist Hermann Gärtner was used to produce this color postcard measuring 104 x 146 mm. The drawing was done in 1935, and Hermann Gärtner also published the card. 

This Nazi Postkarte was never written on or mailed, but it has a canceled EIN VOLK • EIN REICH • EIN FUHRER postage stamp on the back. The cancelation is from Wien (Vienna) and is dated 10 April 1938, the time of the Anschluss.  Next to it is a 3 Pfennig Hindenburg Deutsches Reich stamp which has a cancelation with the slogan "On 10 April vote YES for the Führer".

Very good condition but note the slight fold in the upper left corner.  100% original to the Third Reich period.

Lot #54 - right, Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann of Munich used an original oil painting by artist Willy Exner to produce this color postcard measuring 106 x 149 mm. It shows Adolf Hitler wearing an overcoat with a large collar over his Nazi uniform.

This Nazi Postkarte was never written on or mailed, the back is blank. Very good condition , and 100% original to the Third Reich period.

Lot #230 - right, the 105 x 146 mm photographic postcard shows a bust of Adolf Hitler created by well-known sculptor Professor Otto Hofner (1879 - 1946) of Vienna.

This Nazi postcard was produced by Verlag Karl Kühne of Wien. It was never mailed and has a blank back.

Lot #199 - left, the original Nazi postcard on the right was produced by Presse Illustrationen Hoffmann which shows Adolf Hitler admiring a big model of the Cologne Cathedral made from 2.5 million matches!
It explains that the builder started on the project when he was 15 years old and that it took 4 years to finish.  Interestingly, the event was widely coverd by the American press as the model would be on display in several art galeries in the United States. Very good condition.

Lot # 111 - this 90 x 141 mm deckle edge black & white photographic postcard of Hitler greeting a shy young admirer was produced by Photo-Hoffmann of Munich. While this Nazi Postkarte was never mailed it does have a special cancelation and red Braunau postage stamp commemorating Hitler's 50th birthday in Vienna in 1939.

Lot #116b - right, the original Nazi postcard that shows a smiling Adolf Hitler greeting teenage BdM girls.  This 105 x 148 mm Third Reich Postkarte came with a pre-printed Hitler postage stamp and this particular one has a historic cancelation showing the Munich Honor Temple, dated 20 April 1939, Hitler's 50th birthday.  It was mailed to a stamp collector in Munich without a message. Good used condition.

Lot #236 - right, a very nice Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann color postcard showing the house in Braunau am Inn where Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889.  It measures 104 x 148 mm and was never mailed.  It has a blank back except for some pen doodling in the lower right corner.  Good used condition.

Lot #297 - a 1938 pen and ink illustration by artist Hans Wunder was used to produce this  106 x 148 mm Nazi postcard of das Elternhaus unseres Führers (the house of our Führer's parents) in the small town of Leonding near Linz.    This original Third Reich postcard was purchased at the house (see stamp on the back shown below) which became a tourist attraction, just like the house in which Hitler was born in Braunau.

Lot #246 - the 105 x 148 mm Adolf Hitler postcard on the left was never mailed but has a rare Munich - Capital of the Movement cancelation dated 1 May 1940 that was applied at a Sonderpostamt or Special Post Office. On the back there are four purple Wehrtage der SA postage stamps (see below).

This original Third Reich postcard is in very good used condition, exactly as shown.

It was mailed by Franz Richter to his wife and son in Vienna, and the bittersweet message mentions receipt of their letter, that he was healthy and had enough to eat, and that they should not worry about him. All would end well.

Lot #295 - the photographic postcard on the left shows Unser Volkskanzler Adolf Hitler in a business suit posing at the Königssee near Berchtesgaden on 21 May 1933.  The 89 x 140 mm card was mailed in August of 1933 from Munich by a businessmann named Otto Weberbeck who was offering a discount on print material from the Heinrich Hoffmann and Hanfstaengl catalogs to a lady in Miesbach.

This original Third Reich postcard is in very good used condition.

Lot # 56 - the image on the original Third Reich postcard on the right was used in agreement with the Franz Hanfstaengl firm of Munich. 

The Hanfstaengl firm was run by Ernst "Putzi" Hanfstaengl, son of the founder (Edgar Hanfstaengl) of the print publishing company.  He was the Nazi press liaison to Hitler and an intimate of Hitler and other early Nazis during the founding of the party. He became the head of the Nazi Foreign Press Bureau in Berlin and Hitler was the godfather of Hanfstaengl's son Egon.


The title of the rare deckle edge postcard is "The Liberator of Germany - 30 January 1933" and it has a cancelation dated 4 December 1939 from the special  post office set up at the Sudetenfahrt der deutschen Technik.  It was mailed to a lady in Innsbruck, Germany (now Austria). 

Rare and in very good used condition.

Lot #238 - this original 90 x 138 mm Third Reich photographic souvenir postcard shows the sights of Braunau am Inn where Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889.  During the Third Reich the small village became a tourist attraction.

What makes this Nazi card rare is that it has an original Stalag XVII Feldpost Briefstempel stamp on it and that it was mailed by Feldpost from Braunau on 13 April 1942 (the 2 in 1942 is hard to read on the cancelation). 

Lot #103 - the unused postcard on the right measures was produced at the time of Hitler's 50th birthday in 1939 and lists all his accomplishments so far: the 1935 Racial Laws, the Four Year Plan in 1933, the return of the Saar, Rhineland and Memelland to the Reich, the start of the Freeway system in 1935, the 1938 reunification with Austria, adding the Sudetenland and Bohemia and Moravia to Greater Germany in 1939 and others.

This unused 106 x 149 mm color card was never used and has a blank back.  Good condition.

Lot #95 - the red Third Reich postcard shown right was poduced by Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann to remind citizens of Austria that their country should be part of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany and that they should vote YES during the referendum of 10 April 1938. A stamp collector had a new Nazi German stamp canceled to commemorate the historic day of the referendum (see photo below).  Very good condition.
