Lot #96 - right, an original drawing by artist Hermann Gärtner was used to produce this color postcard measuring 104 x 146 mm. The drawing was done in 1935, and Hermann Gärtner also published the card.

EIN VOLK • EIN REICH • EIN FUHRER postage stamp on the back.
The cancelation is from Wien (Vienna) and is dated 10 April 1938
, the time of the
Anschluss. Next to it is a 3 Pfennig Hindenburg Deutsches Reich stamp which has a cancelation with the slogan "On 10 April vote YES for the Führer".


Lot #54 - right, Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann of Munich used an original oil painting by artist Willy Exner to produce this color postcard measuring 106 x 149 mm. It shows Adolf Hitler wearing an overcoat with a large collar over his Nazi uniform.
This Nazi Postkarte was never written on or mailed, the back is blank.

Lot #230 - right, the 105 x 146 mm photographic postcard shows a bust of Adolf Hitler created by well-known sculptor Professor Otto Hofner (1879 - 1946) of Vienna.
This Nazi postcard was produced by Verlag Karl Kühne of Wien. It was never mailed and has a blank back.

Lot #111c - left, this original Nazi deckle edge photographic postcard measures 105 x 147 mm and was produced during the Third Reich by Photo-Hoffmann of Munich.
While this card contains no written message and was never mailed, it does have a historic swastika cancelation commemorating the first visit by Adolf Hitler to Vienna after the Anschluß - 16 March 1938.
Good condition (note slight damage to upper right corner), absolutely original to the Third Reich period in Germany.

Lot # 124 - shown left is an original Third Reich postcard that measures 106 x 151 mm and shows Adolf Hitler over a map of Austria and the historic date 10 April 1938 on which Austrians voted for reunification with Greater Germany: Ein Volk • Ein Reich • Ein Führer.
This card was never mailed but does have a green Ein Volk • Ein Reich • Ein Führer stamp on the back which was canceled in Vienna. The cancelation says Vote YES! for the Führer on 10 April.
Lot #143 - right, a nice early Photo-Hoffmann photographic postcard measuring 89 x 140 mm titled Der Führer als Tierfreund (Hitler, the Friend of Animals).
This card was written on and mailed from Bad Reichenhall a few miles from Berchtesgaden, on 13 August 1934. The message on the back is written in pencil. With canceled green Hindenburg stamp.

Lot #199 - left, the original Nazi postcard on the right was produced by Presse Illustrationen Hoffmann which shows Adolf Hitler admiring a big model of the Cologne Cathedral made from 2.5 million matches!
It explains that the builder started on the project when he was 15 years old and that it took 4 years to finish. Interestingly, the event was widely coverd by the American press as the model would be on display in several art galeries in the United States.

Lot #146 - the original deckle edge Nazi postcard on the right shows Adolf Hitler greeting young admirersat a train station. This 91 x 141 mm photographic postcard was used in September 1941 by a mother who wrote to her daughter who lived at a creamery in Hollenstein. Very good condition.

Lot #116 - left, the original Nazi postcard that shows a smiling Adolf Hitler greeting teenage BdM girls. This 105 x 148 mm Third Reich Postkarte came with a pre-printed Hitler postage stamp and this particular one has a historic cancelation from Hitler's birth place Braunau am Inn, dated 20 April 1939, Hitler's 50th birthday. It was mailed to a stamp collector in Dresden without a message. Very good condition.

Lot #119 - right, an original photographic postcard produced by Photo-Hoffmann in Munich during the Third Reich, measuring 91 x 140 mm and showing Hitler with adoring fans.
It was mailed at the end of July 1943 to a young girl in Gau Niederdonau. Handwritten message and address, canceled purple Adolf Hitler stamp on the back. Very good used condition.

Lot #238 - the Nazi era photographic postcard shown left shows Adolf Hitler visiting the grave of his parents, Alois and Klara Hitler, in the city cemetery of Leonding on 13 March 1938, after his triumphant return to the country of his birth.
The card has a special Leonding Heimatsort des Führers stamp on the back (see below), indicating this 90 x 140 mm postcard was purchased in Leonding.
The stamp shows the house where Hitler lived as a child, across from the cemetery. The house and Hitler grave are still there today. Mailed from nearby Linz in 1939, in very good used condition.

Lot #236 - left, an unused original 89 x 139 mm photographic postcard from Nazi Germany produced by Eduard Doppler of Braunau am Inn.
The pictures on the card shows the house in Braunau am Inn where Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889. During the Third Reich it became a tourist attraction. Note the swastika on the front of the house.
This card was never mailed and has a blank back. Very good condition.

Lot #95 - the red Third Reich postcard shown right was poduced by Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann to remind citizens of Austria that their country should be part of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany and that they should vote YES during the referendum of 10 April 1938. A stamp collector had a new Nazi German stamp canceled to commemorate the historic day of the referendum (see photo below). Very good condition.
