Offered for sale on this USMBOOKS web page are two heavily illustrated, 6-1/4 x 9-1/2 inch monthly magazines called VOLK UND RASSE (Nation and Race), a more clinical publication of J.F. Lehmanns Verlag which addressed subjects of ethnology and racial cleanliness.
These are the issues of September 1936 (30 pages) and May 1937 (68 pages). Each issue presented articles supportive of the Nazi position on racial matters such as Racial Observations about Olympic Athletes (including a nice picture of American Jesse Owens being photographed with members of the Italian Olympic team); Increase or Decrease of Adverse [Racial] Selection; Farmers and Race; Race and Leadership; Class Struggle; Racial-political Education; Racial Hygiene and Population Politics; etc.
Both magazines contain advertising for other Third Reich books on racial matters. They are complete and in very good used condition. The cover of the September 1936 issue of VOLK UND RASSE has a scotch taped tear from the right side to the leg of the athlete.
