TWO LOTS OF ORIGINAL WORLD WAR II GERMAN RATION COUPONS

1944 Einkellerungsschein Kartoffeln
Nazi ration coupons were issued to all registered civilians (including Jews) during World War II in Germany, as well as to Wehrmacht soldiers on home leave. Examples of them are now becoming hard to find. These ration cards were color coded and included rations for coal, meat, coffee, dairy, sugar, flour and eggs. On this USMBOOKS web page we offer two different lots of original Nazi ration coupons.
These original one-sided Third Reich Einkellerungsscheine were valid until 10 December 1944 and all eight have a 20 mm (¾ inch) wide Nazi eagle and swastika in the upper left corner.
This lot consists of 8 original Third Reich unused 74 x 104 mm (2-5/8 x 4-1/8 inch) ration coupons to store 50 kg of potatoes (one Zentner equals about 50 kilograms or 110 lbs). These were to be filled out by a farmer (Erzeuger) where individuals could store (and probably acquire) their food.
1944 Nazi ration coupons for 3 - 18 year olds
This lot consists of two original Third Reich Nährmittelkarten or nutrition ration cards issued to young German citizens between the ages of 3 and 18 years old. With these coupons one could obtain pasta or similar starch, potato starch and pudding powder. Above the Nazi eagle and swastika are two coupons for Ersatz Kaffee or a coffee substitute (usually ground, roasted chicory root).
Both were valid from 18 September until 15 October 1944 and could only be used if the name and address portion was filled out. These two identical 15-½ x 17 cm (6-1/8 x 6-3/4 inch) Nazi ration coupons are unused and in very good condition.
