This is a handy 100-page Nazi book called Physikalische Denkaufgaben aus der Welt des Soldaten (Physical Brainteasers from the World of Soldiers) with material assembled by Dr. Hermann Weinreich.

The information in this 5-3/4 x 7-1/8 inch softcover book is described as “a walk through the life of a soldier”, things that every soldier might encounter whether an infantryman, combat engineer, Kriegsmarine sailor, Luftwaffe pilot, cavalryman, or a member of a reconnaissance troop or an artillery outfit. In the foreword, the author explains that the book is suitable for young readers but also for people 70-80 year old who still have an interest in technical things.

Interspersed in the text of the are 62 illustrations showing among other things Nazi hand grenades, rifles, tank traps, telescopes and periscopes, airplanes, as well as technical illustrations about the stability of ships, how an airplane rudder words, how to properly anchor a tent, canon and rifle recoil, engine components, etc.

Physikalische Denkaufgaben aus der Welt des Soldaten was published by B.G. Teubner Verlag of Leipzig and Berlin in 1939, and this 80+ year old example is in very nice, little-used condition with a tight spine and no odor. A previous owner wrote his name in pencil on the title page.
