This small 2-1/8 x 2-1/8 x 3/4 inch thick box contains five packages of Jod - Katgut (Iodine Catgut), 70 cm (27.55 inches) long for use in stitching up wounded human flesh. The material is under one-half mm in cross section and was manufactured in June 1942 by Dr. Ruhland Nach Catgut-Fabrik in Nürnberg-O, Germany. This is new-old-stock German medical material in absolutely like-new condition.
