original Nazi swastika pennants on a string, Nazi era swastika lanterns,
a Kriegsmarine flag, and a very rare original Third Reich Führerstandarte!
This is the real thing, a genuine 5-1/4 x 16 foot Third Reich banner in brilliant red with a 3 foot bright white circle sewed on each side bearing a black swastika. The banner was made in this unique size to fit a unique display space - between two pillars, or in a doorway, from a gable, for example. The banner is so big that we had to photograph it in two pieces and that is why you see the splice in the center of the swastika in the photo at left.
It has two rope loops sewed in the top hem for hanging it. The red portion of the banner is made of two separate pieces of identical cloth sewed together down the middle. A white circle of similar fabric with a printed black swastika is sewed to each side.
As is typical with Nazi banners made to be displayed in public areas, there is no manufacturing data on the banner itself (that information normally came on a paper tag or on the box the banner was shipped in). The GI that brought this Third Reich banner back to the USA after World War II acquired it when it was new.
It does not appear to have ever been flown and it has very minimum soiling and spots from long years of storage. Very, very good condition.
