Reichsbund deutscher Kleingartner

This is a beautiful and unusual Nazi German association membership badge for a member of the Reichsbund deutscher Kleingartner (German State Association for Gardeners) as manufactured by Frank & Reif of Stuttgart in the 1930s. The oval portion of the badge measures about 3/4 x 1 inch and is made of silver plated copper filled with dark green cloisonné. Applied to the face of the badge is a slightly wider eagle, apparently made of silver, with a swastika on its chest. There is a high quality vertical safety pin on the back.

The unusual aspect of the pin (beyond that fact that few have ever seen one) is the curious spelling of the word DEUTSCHER. On this pin the word is spelled DEOTSCHER, either an antiquated or regional spelling of the word, or a mistake (very unlikely) by the diemaker!

Nazi Edelweiss swastika pin
This is a very unusual genuine Nazi decoration of unknown origin which contains easily recognized elements.
The 3-1/4 inch tall piece has an Edelweiss flower about 2 inches in diameter at the top and a red ribbon with a black swastika in a white circle trailing from both sides. In the center of the back is a typical German lapel pin about 1-5/8 inches long.
Very good condition. Please note: the red ribbons on this pin are not quite as bright red in reality as they appear on our photos, but very striking just the same.
