This lot consists of FOUR very heavily illustrated softcover books, each measuring about 4-3/4 x 6-3/4 inches.
Band I (blue) has 56 pages, Band II (red) has 64 pages, Band III (grey), has 40 pages and the very rare Band IV (green) has 64 pages.
They were published as text books for students at a Nazi era driving school in Baden near Wien (Vienna), the second largest city in the Greater German Reich.

Book I is Lehrbuch ,,Verkehr’’ or “Rules of Traffic”. It has very colorful line drawings of the classes of vehicles in Nazi Germany, traffic signs and signals, example of good and bad driving, DUI, military situations, etc. There is a multipage road sign supplement in the back.
Book II Lehrbuch ,,Technik’’ covers the “Basic Principals of Cars, Motors, Transmissions, Motorcycles”, etc. There are lots of colorful line illustrations.Book III Lehrbuch ,,Vorfahrt’’ covers the “Laws Governing the Right of Way in Traffic” (far more complicated than one would guess).Book IV Lehrbuch ,,Diesel'' covers the differences between gasoline and diesel engines, how to care for diesel engines and explanations on other car part functions.
These four basic Third Reich driving books are in very good, tight condition and are still contained in their original case which shows wear (see photo left). All four books have the stamp of Fahrschule Czerny (Driving School Czerny) on the cover.
