This is a nice example of one of the very best rare Nazi books produced for consumption by teenagers. The very heavily illustrated 8-1/2 x 9-3/4 inch, 128 page softcover book is called ,,Neues Deutschland - Ein Bildbuch für die Auslandsdeutsche Jugend’’ (The New Germany - A Picture Book for German Youth Abroad) and was published by Third Reich photographic master Heinrich Hoffmann in München (Munich) in 1939.
Opposite a full-page photograph of Germany’s 23rd Chancellor, Adolf Hitler with a little girl, the books opens with a salute to “German youth around the world” by Joachim von Ribbentrop. |

Following the introduction there are dozens upon dozens of full-page photographs of the greatest sights in Nazi Germany arranged in sections with names such as “The Movement”, “The Youth of the Führer”, “Men of Spades” (RAD), “Defense of the Nation”, “Power and Beauty of the Population”, “Home and Work”, “The Führer’s Construction Projects”, etc. |

| The photographic content includes many pictures of the boys and girls of the German Hitler Youth, as well as those of other nations (some in front of the US flag), the Reichsautobahn, the Reichschancellery, Reichsparteitag meetings and facilities at Nürnberg, Horst Wessel, the Ehrentempel, men and women of the Reichsarbeitsdienst, the men and machines of the Wehrmacht, the Freeing of Austria, the Tannenberg Memorial, WHW work, Mother’s Homes, Southwest Africa, a Zeppelin, Auto Union race car, House of German Art, Führerbau, Ordensburg and even the enormous model of the German stadium. |

Page 47-48 in this book is a high quality photocopy to replace a picture of Hitler and Hindenburg which was torn out years ago. A rare book in very good condition. |
