This is a rare original 6-3/8 x 9 inch, 144 page, heavily illustrated softcover book Der Weg der NSDAP (The Path of the Nazi Party) as published by the SS-Hauptamt or SS Main Office of the Reichsführer-SS in July 1943.
Using quotations from Adolf Hitler and other leading Nazis in a very carefully written text, this book meticulously traces the evolution of the Nazi Party from the time of the Bismarck Reich (Jews and Social Democracy) through World War I and the loss of German colonies, to the Marxist-Jewish Republic, Chaos in the Streets and Unbearable French Occupation of Germany.
The text then concentrates on the founding the NSDAP, the first swastika flag, the Führer Principle, the first SA Standarte, Deutscher Tag in Nürnberg in 1923, French looting of the Ruhr, the Putsch, the imprisonment of Adolf Hitler in Landsberg, writing of Mein Kampf, regrounding of the Nazi Party, the founding of the SS, street fighting, Nazi victories in Reichstag elections, Horst Wessel, re-employment and final victory.
This excellent study is accompanied by photographic material and illustrations, many of which can not be found elsewhere.
Der Weg der NSDAP is a very rare SS photo book. This example is in excellent condition and is printed on much better paper stock than most war time German publications.
This is a very difficult book to find and virtually impossible to find in anything like this condition.
