This is a wonderful original 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, very heavily illustrated 120 page hardcover book called ,,Panzerkampf im Westen’’ (The Armor Battle in the West) by Major Hubert W. Borchert as published by Schützen Verlag in Berlin, Germany in 1940.
Wehrmacht troops on Nazi tank
In a fine text and with 130 unique photographs, it tells the story of the contributions of Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS Panzer and Panzerjäger troops in defeating Dutch, Belgian, French and British troops in western Europe in May and June 1940.
Nazi armored vehicles
This is superb photographic material not be found elsewhere - many German tanks, enemy tanks, motorcycles, PAK guns, armored personnel carriers (halftracks), bridge builders, etc.

Pasted to the back of the title page of this book is the newspaper announcement of the death of the book’s owner, on the east front on 15 December 1943. He was a 26 year old Panzer Hauptmann and holder of the German Cross in Gold, who left a wife and small daughter in Wien (Vienna).
This example of ,,Panzerkampf im Westen’’ is in very good condition.
