Nazi tank
The German word “Nußknacker” means “Nutcracker” and the picture on the front of this Wehrmacht manual shows a Landser using a traditional German “Nußknacker” in the form of an Imperial soldier to crush a Soviet tank. The title of the booklet is ,,Der Panzerknacker’’ or “The Tank Cracker”.
This wonderful 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch, very heavily illustrated 24 page pocket-size Third Reich manual is a reasonably lighthearted look at the deadly-serious business of destroying enemy tanks. The first page begins with the bold statement “You Too Can Crack A Tank!”
Nazi Panzer Tanks
This example of ,,Der Panzerknacker’’ was published on 13 May 1944 by the Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) and explains in words and pictures how over 10,000 German soldiers were already wearing the Individual Close Combat Tank Destruction Arm Badge. The destruction of tanks on the Eastern Front was equivalent to 200 Russian Tank Brigades, or roughly one Russian tank every 150 meters for 1500 kilometers from Odessa to Leningrad!

The Panzerknacker booklet explains how to approach an enemy tank, the tank’s most vulnerable points, how to identify enemy tanks (T34, Sherman, Churchill, etc.), types of weapons to use against tanks (Panzerfaust, Panzerschreck, mines, explosives, gas bottles, etc.), and how to avoid being killed by a tank. The manual ends with the words STÄHLERNE HERZEN GEGEN STÄHLERNE MASSEN! (Hearts of Steel Offset Masses of Steel!).

Wehrmacht soldier
This is a very rare World War II Wehrmacht combat manual from very late in the war. It is somewhat water-stained (it is used) but it is complete and in good condition.

The condition is perfectly adequate to use it as a master to reprint any quantity of very high grade copies.
