There is not the slightest doubt that all types of domesticated horses were very popular in Nazi Germany and this is probably the best and prettiest book on the subject done during the Third Reich.
This is a fine copy of the big 8-1/2 x 10-3/4 inch, 108 page very, very heavily illustrated hard cover book called Ein Pferdebuch (A Horse Book) by Hein Gorny with a text by Graf Wolf Baudissin and Major a.D. Wilhelm Braun. This is a Second Edition of the book as published in 1938 and a small not on the front end paper has the previous owner's name and the notation Weihnachten 1939.

There is a 15-page foreword by Graf Baudissin before the beginning of the marvelous Gorny photographs of colts and mares and stallions in sunny pastures. There are pictures of herds of horses, teams and carriages pulled by horses as well as horses of the army being shod, ridden, information in the field, pulling wagons and carrying the cavalry.
There are horses on the racetrack, jumpers, throwing their riders, and horses being used by members of German society. Many pages are devoted to pictures of the Lippizaner horses of the Spanish Riding School at the Hofburg in Vienna.
All in all a wonderful book on the subject of horses as they were used and appreciated during the Third Reich.
