DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN BLACK OUT TRAIN SIGN

This is an absolutely genuine Third Reich sign that once hung in a Deutsche Reichsbahn train during World War II. The sturdy cardboard sign measures 5-1/2 x 7-3/4 inches and has a metal bar at the top to which at one time two clips were attached so it could be hung on the inside of a window in a train compartment.

The sign says that all travelers of the compartment are responsible to make sure black out curtains are in place when lights are on. Passengers who do not comply will be punished by railway authorities according to paragraph 9 and 10 of the Luftschutzgesetz.

A wonderful obscure piece of Third Reich railway history in nice used original condition.
