VERY RARE GUIDEBOOKS FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE
NAZI REICHSPARTEITAGE (REICHS PARTY DAYS)
IN NÜRNBERG, GERMANY FROM 1929 TO 1936

As most collectors are aware, the Nazi Party held its annual gathering in late summer each year in the city of Nuernberg. Called Reichsparteitage or Reichs Party Days, the annual pageant paraded everything the NSDAP had to offer including Hitler himself, the high leadership of the Nazi Party and all paramilitary formations such as the SS, SA, HJ (Hitler Youth), the DAF (Deutsche Arbeitsfront or German Labor Front), RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst or State Labor Service), etc.

Each participant could purchase a Führer or guidebook to inform himself or herself of the reason for the Party Day, notable aspects of Nazi Party history, and a virtual minute-by-minute Programm or schedule of events for the Reichsparteitag. In addition to NSDAP information there was also a good deal of advertising of interest to Nazis, with ads for hotels, guest houses, cafés, restaurants, beer, Nazi clothing, Nazi badges, etc.

By their very nature these guidebooks were used up and worn out over the course of the ten or so days of each Reichsparteitag. Today, good examples from any year are rare and desirable, particularly those from the formative years through 1934.

The pictures of internal pages from these Reichs Party Days books on this web page are not from one book but are a collage of pages from all the guidebooks from 1929 through 1936.

REICHSPARTEITAG FÜHRER - REICHS PARTY DAY GUIDEBOOK 1929

This is not the best example of the 1929 Reichs Party Day guidebook, it is the ONLY example we have ever seen. It is an extremely rare piece of very early Nazi Party material from a time when no one outside of the NSDAP leadership would have given the Nazis any chance of ending up in control of Germany.

The 5-3/8 x 7-7/8 inch, 56 page, heavily illustrated soft cover book is a document of political optimism in the face of overwhelming communist and socialist influence in the government. The book contains a nice original 13 x 16 inch color map of Nürnberg with all pertinent Reichsparteitag venues called out in red. An 8-page green section in the center contains the program of events. This book was published at the direction of Alfred Rosenberg and it was printed by Franz Eher Nachfolger GmbH in München. Very good condition.

REICHSPARTEITAG FÜHRER - REICHS PARTY DAY GUIDEBOOK 1933

This is an extremely rare piece of early Nazi Party material from the first Reichs Party Day held in Nuremberg, Germany after the Hitler government was elected. The 5-3/8 x 7-7/8 inch, 96 page, heavily illustrated soft cover book projects the success the NSDAP had at the polls in 1932 and 1933 and is much “slicker” than the previous Reichsparteitag Führer. In this volume there are ads from huge German companies like Mercedes-Benz, Telefunken, A.W. Faber, Continental Tire, TE-KA-DE, Shell Oil, Mobil Oil, Standard Oil, Leuna, Triumph Werke, Singer Sewing Machines, Siemens, Ardie-Werk, etc. in addition to the ads for beer, hotels, etc. There is a full-page Nazi uniform, flag and badge ad from the RZM of the Nazi Party and several maps to show the Reichsparteitag venues.

There is a 4-page program of events preceded by an illustrated section showing the insignia of rank of the SA. Printed by Franz Eher Nachfolger GmbH in München, in very good condition.

This is an extremely rare piece of early Nazi Party material from the Reichs Party Day held in Nuremberg, Germany in 1934. The 5-1/2 x 7-7/8 inch, 96 page, heavily illustrated soft cover book that leaves no doubt about the fact that the NSDAP was firmly in charge of the government of Germany. In this volume there are ads from huge German companies like MAN, Siemens, Mauser, TE-KA-DE, Rosenthal Porzellan, SKF & FAG bearings, Saber Radio, Zündapp and Sachs motorcycles, Triumph Werke, Addressograph-Multigraph, Mercedes-Benz, Der Stürmer, A.W. Faber, etc. in addition to the ads for beer, hotels, etc. There are maps to show the Reichsparteitag venues. This is an extremely rare piece of Nazi Party material from the Reichs Party Day held in Nuremberg, Germany in 1935. The 5-1/2 x 8 inch, 152 page, heavily illustrated soft cover book that depicts a mature Nazi Party in full possession of all political strength in the most powerful country in Europe and probably the second most powerful country on earth.

In this volume there are ads from huge German companies like WMF, Dunlop tires, AEG, Siemens, MAN, Greiff uniforms, TE-KA-DE, Mauser, Saber Radio, Senking kitchens,

A.W. Faber, Zündapp and Sachs motorcycles, SKF & FAG bearings, Triumph Werke, NSU, Dresdner Bank, Der Stürmer, Mercedes-Benz, Rieker boots, Carl Walther Waffenfabrik, etc. in addition to the ads for beer, hotels, etc. It also contains a very rare advertisement for the Wagen des Führers manufactured by Tipp & Co. REICHSPARTEITAG FÜHRER - REICHS PARTY DAY GUIDEBOOK 1936

This is an extremely rare piece of Nazi Party material from the Reichs Party Day held in Nuremberg, Germany from 8 - 14 September 1936. It is the 5-1/2 x 8 inch, 168 page, very heavily illustrated softcover book called simply ,,Reichsparteitag 1936 Nürnberg’’ as published by the Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party at the request of the NSDAP Organization Leadership . Inside, following portraits of Adolf Hitler, Rudolf Hess, Dr. Robert Ley and Frankenführer Julius Streicher, is all the information anyone attending the 1936 Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg could possibly want to know. There is a map of the Nürnberg area calling out all of the tent camps and other quarters, not only for the SS troops but for organizations like the KdF as well, all laid out by Gau.

There is a full-page ad for ADEFA clothing made by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutsch-Arischer Fabrikanten der Bekleidungsindustrie (Aryan German Labor Community of the Clothing Industry), asking all German men and women to buy only clothing made by aryan hands and bearing the ADEFA label. There are other ads from the anti-Jewish newspaper ,,Der Stürmer’’, guns, tobacco manufacturers, Reichsautobahn construction companies, etc.
