As a memorial to the very first Reichsparteitag (State Party Day) held in Germany under the new Nazi administration of Chancellor Adolf Hitler, the NSDAP’s foremost anti-Semite and publisher of anti-Jewish newspaper Der Stürmer, Frankenführer Julius Streicher, published Reichstagung in Nürnberg 1933.
The big 8-3/4 x 11-1/2 inch, 260 page, very heavily illustrated hardcover book presents and array of photographic material and information about Reichsparteitag 1933 that had never been seen before in Germany or the world.
Virtually every venue, every event, and each Nazi personality that attended the Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg in the late summer of 1933 is shown in one or more of the many dozens of large, clear black & white photographs and portraits. Leaders of the party wrote material specifically for the book and some of the more important speeches are transcribed verbatim.
This rare book contains full-page portraits of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Rudolf Hess, Ernst Röhm, Ritter von Epp, Baldur von Schirach, Julius Streicher, Dietrich Eckart, Alfred Rosenberg, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Dr. Robert Ley, Wilhelm Brückner, Josef "Sepp" Dietrich, August Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen (Auwi), Walter Darré, Konstantin Hierl, Gottfried Feder, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Kurt Daluege, Dr. Otto Dietrich, Bernard Rust, and more.
The Streicher book was very popular, and many of those who attended the first Reichsparteitag bought one. The concept of an “Annual” book proved so popular that similar books in identical bindings were produced in subsequent years, but the job of publishing them was taken away from Julius Streicher.
This is hard-to-find heavily illustrated 1933 NSDAP Reichsparteitag book is in very good used condition with scotch tape marks inside the covers.
