As a memorial to the very first Reichsparteitag (State Party Day) held in Germany under the new Nazi administration of Chancellor Adolf Hitler, the NSDAP’s foremost anti-Semite and publisher of the anti-Jewish newspaper Der Stürmer, Frankenführer Julius Streicher published this book; Reichstagung in Nürnberg 1933.

This 9-1/4 x 11-1/2 inch, 3-½+ pound hardcover book has 264 heavily illustrated pages printed on high quality glossy paper, and this example of the 1933 Nazi Party Day book is complete with its rare original cream-colored dust jacket. It presented an array of photographic material and information about Reichsparteitag that had never before been seen in Germany or anywhere else in the world.

Virtually every venue, every event, and each Nazi personality that attended the Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg in the late summer of 1933 is shown in one or more of the many dozens of large, sharp black & white pictures and/or portraits. Leaders of the party wrote material specifically for the book and some of the more important speeches are transcribed verbatim. There are even photos of the airship Graf Zeppelin flying over Nuremberg and the Reichsparteitaggelände.

This Streicher Reichsparteitag book was very popular, and many of those who attended the first Nazi Party Days bought a copy. The concept of an “annual” book proved so popular that similar books in the same format were produced in subsequent years.

This rare book contains full-page portraits of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Rudolf Hess, Ernst Röhm, Ritter von Epp, Baldur von Schirach, Julius Streicher, Dietrich Eckart, Alfred Rosenberg, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Dr. Robert Ley, Wilhelm Brückner, Josef "Sepp" Dietrich, August Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen (Auwi), Walter Darré, Konstantin Hierl, Gottfried Feder, Kurt Daluege, Dr. Otto Dietrich, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Bernard Rust, Walter Groß, Wilhelm Kube, Walter Schuhmann and Franz Seldte. There are also full-page portraits of Ernst Röhm’s Deputy Edmund Heines and SA Gruppenführer Karl Ernst. Both were killed in 1934 during or shortly after the Night of the Long Knives, along with SA Leader Ernst Röhm, of course.

This is NOT a later edited version of the 1933 book without Ernst Röhm, but the early edition that contains many pictures of Röhm (even Röhm with Hitler!) and other purged Nazi Party members throughout the text.

This heavily illustrated 1933 Nazi Party Reichsparteitag book is exceptional in that it is in fine, little-used condition. The blue covers have gold blocking on the front cover and spine which was protected by the dust jacket, so it is in very nice condition and not flaked off.

The hardcover book is complete with the ‘handwritten’ Streicher foreword and the Hitler portrait in the front. It has a tight spine and no odor whatsoever. It looks like the book was never read, it is the finest copy we have ever offered for sale.
