This is a wonderful 5-1/4 x 8-3/8 inch, 80 page heavily illustrated guidebook called ,,Wegweiser durch Nürnberg'' or “Travelers Guide Through Nuremberg” that was purchased by somebody visiting Nürnberg during Reichsparteitage in 1938.

After a welcome greeting by Oberbürgermeister and SA-Gruppenführer Willy Liebl, this interesting book starts out describing the connection the Nazi Movement has had with the city of Nürnberg from early on.

It describes early events such as the Deutsche Tag gatherings. It explains and shows the different buildings erected especially for the Nazi Party Days on the Reichsparteitaggelände. When this book was printed in 1938 this area had grown to 7 km (4.3 miles) from north to south and 3-1/2 km (2.1 miles) from east to west under the direction of architect Albert Speer. The Luitpold-Arena, Luitpoldhalle and Zeppelinfeld are described and shown in pictures. Other buildings to accommodate the huge crowds are also described in detail (water towers, SA tent cities, railway stations, etc.).

The career of Frankenführer and publisher of the anti-Jewish Nazi newspaper Der Stürmer, Julius Streicher, is also described in detail.

This book also shows pictures of the Adolf-Hitler-Platz, the famous medieval Nürnberg fortress and moat, the Albrecht-Dürer house, and it has architectural history of famous buildings, information about important things invented in the city, etc.

,,Wegweiser durch Nürnberg'' was published by Deutsche Pressestelle ,,Aufbau'' in Bremen and is in very good condition.
