A SCHNELLBRIEF OR URGENT DIRECTIVE FROM THE
REICHSFÜHRER-SS REGARDING AN IRAQI CITIZEN
This is an A4 size (8-1/4 x 11-5/8 inch), one-sided Schnellbrief or Urgent Directive on the letterhead of Reichsführer-SS und Chef der deutschen Polizei in the Reichsministerium des Innern (Heinrich Himmler’s Office) dated 11 December 1939. It was written to the Reichskommissar for the Integration of Austria into the Reich in Wien (Vienna), and requested the exact names and particulars of an Iraqi, Sayid Abbas Amin who wished to visit Germany. The letter is stamped with a 34 mm Reichsführer-SS stamp in purple and signed on behalf of Ladewig by someone named Koller. The letter is stamped “received” on 13 December 1939 in Wien.
Nice condition, from the collection of authors Ray & Josephine Cowdery. Comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity.
