The photos in this book are excellent and not found in other Third Reich photo books. They are gritty and show Wehrmacht soldiers marching and fighting, Luftwaffe airplanes in the air, battle damage and destruction, ethnic Germans in Poland welcoming the German troops in Bromberg, Posen and Litzmannstadt (Lodz), ehtnic German civilians (Volksdeutschen) executed prior to the arrival of the German troops, Wehrmacht Generals, Polish prisoners-of-war, Hitler visiting wounded soldiers and troops in the field, Generalfeldmarschall Hermann Göring giving Hitler an update on Luftwaffe achievements, and the Führer in Danzig and Warsaw.

Der Sieg im Osten or "Victory in the East" is a Nazi photo book about the Wehrmacht invasion and victory in Poland by Friedrich Heiss. It has military and political commentary by Generalmajor Rudolf Ritter von Xylander. All photo captions are in three languages, German, English and French.
The 8-½ x 9 inch, 120-page Nazi photo book covers the September 1939 German invasion of Poland. There are many detailed maps of progress during the invasion as well as the new borders established in Poland after the treaty with Russia on 28 September 1939 (the Soviet Union ended up with about three-fifths of Poland and 13 million of its people as a result of their invasion).
Der Sieg im Osten was published by Volk und Reich Verlag in Berlin in 1940. This 79 year old Nazi photo book is complete and in nice used condition, no odor.  Please note the original dust jacket was laminated by a previous owner to preserve it.
