This is a fine example of the rare 5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inch, 180 page heavily illustrated soft cover book Sport-Jahrbuch für die Wehrmacht (Sports Yearbook of the Armed Forces) as published by Sport und Turnverlag in Berlin-Lankewitz in 1942.
Following a short biography of Generalfeldmarschall von Reichenau (the Sport General), the book explains why sport is essential to those serving in the Armed Forces and then covers every sport and sporting event in which the Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht were involved throughout the Reich and Occupied Territories. These include sports that have a military application such as skiing, but also sports like handball, basketball and sports for the war wounded.
Very good condition.
This book covers all manner of sport in the Waffen-SS, Army, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine for the annual period through April 1942.
