RARE SS AND POLICE VERBANDKASTEN

Zentralsanitätslager beim Reichsarzt SS und Polizei, Berlin-Lichtenberg

RARE SS AND POLICE MARKED NAZI
VERBANDKASTEN OR MEDICAL CHEST

Nazi Verbandkasten
This particularly well-made steel box measuring about 4 x 7-1/2 x 13-3/4 inches is quite typical of most medical chests used by the German Wehrmacht during the Third Reich and during World War II.

It has flush-mounted closing clasps, a rubber seal on the inside of the lid and is painted gray-green on the outside and white on the inside.

THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT HOWEVER in that the contents noted on the label inside the lid is unique and the line of printing on the bottom of that label says:
Zentralsanitätslager beim Reichsarzt SS (runes) und Polizei, Berlin-Lichtenberg
(Central Medical Warehouse of the State Pharmacy of the SS and Police in Berlin-Lichtenberg).
SS Police Verbandkasten
This 60 year old steel chest is in far better than average condition and the very rare label inside the lid is in excellent condition. This Verbandkasten was purchased the first week of April 2004 from a farm woman just a few miles from the former concentration camp at Mauthausen, Germany. She had been using it for storage of bolts, nuts, nails, etc.

A very rare piece of Nazi SS and police equipment.

A perfect accessory for a German vehicle, for a static display or for a re-enactor.
