This is a beautifully manufactured reproduction of the type of cyanide capsule container found in the prison cell of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring after his suicide in Nürnberg in October 1946.
SS Tesch u. Stabenow Hamburg
The heavy brass container measures 12 mm in diameter by 44 mm in length (about 1/2 x 1-3/4 inches) and has a knurled end and knurling on the threaded cap. The cap is stamped TESCH u. STABENOW around SS runes and HAMBURG 77/42 like the one on the right.

The bottom of the capsule may contain marks like the ones shown on the left or a variety of other SS marks, such as SS runes, overlapping SS runes, Wewelsburg SS runes, etc. (no choice).

Inside, the container has a hole about 38 mm deep by 5 mm in diameter (about 3/8 x 1-1/2 inches) to accommodate a glass vial of deadly poisonous cyanide.

We are offering ONLY a brass capsule container for sale here, NOT the glass capsule. The glass capsule in our photographs is a simple ammonia ampule of the type found in many First Aid Kits, for reviving people who have fainted.

Reproduction examples identical to this cyanide vial container have been offered by very large, well-known international auction houses in recent years for opening bids in excess of $1000.00, and they have sold for more.

We offer this one not as an original, but as a movie prop or replica, for its curio value only.
It is in very good condition.
