Publication of
Böhmen und Mähren began in 1940 under the direction of Reichsprotektor and German career diplomat, Baron Konstantin von Neurath with Nazi Staatssekretär SS-Gruppenführer Karl Hermann Frank as publisher. It was continued by
SS-General Reinhard Heydrich (right) when he replaced Von Neurath in Prag (Prague, Praha), Czechoslovakia in the fall of 1941 and under Police Commander Kurt Daluege after Heydrich's assassination. It was printed by major Nazi publisher Volk und Reich Verlag of Prag and Berlin.
All issues of Böhmen und Mähren contained the latest news of the SS and Waffen-SS, its code of conduct, its family orientation, its history, its leadership, its deployment and its combat record. The six historic issues of Böhmen und Mähren offered here are the November 1940, January, February, March, April and December 1942 issues.

The 396 pages of these
Böhmen und Mähren magazines contain contain black & white and color illustrated articles on the NSDAP in Bohemia and Moravia, the Visit of Reichsminister Dr. Joseph Goebbels to Prague, the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the Service of the Reich by Reinhard Heydrich, Germany and the Economic Order of Europe, the Donau River, Bohemia and the Reich, the
Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD),
Arbeitsmaiden in the Protectorate,
Sonnenwende in Bohemia, Battle on the East Front in Ice and Snow, Reinhard Heydrich's 38th Birthday (with a full-page portrait of the Acting Reichsprotector), Remembering Dr. Fritz Todt, the

These very rare and historic 11 x 14 inch magazines also contain many pages of extremely interesting illustrated advertising including an advertisement for a company that manufactured Fez caps (below).
The covers of the November 1940, as well as January and March 1942 issues are scotch taped along the spine. All issues appear to be complete except for the outer two-thirds of the first page of the February 1942 issue. That piece has been cut out. We found no other pieces cut out and did not detect any missing pages when we photographed these 68+ year old magazines. Nice used condition.
