Deutsche Stenografenschaft
A NAZI IDENTITY
DOCUMENT FOR A
MEMBER OF THE
DEUTSCHE
STENOGRAFENSCHAFT

Deutsche Stenografenschaft membership document
The Deutsche Stenografenschaft or German Stenographic Society was the umbrella organization in the Third Reich Germany of Adolf Hitler for those who were employed professionally by taking shorthand or machine typing. Office workers, secretaries and even court reporters were members.
Nazi membership ID
The very well-made 4-5/8 x 6-1/2 inch, 18 page blue and gold hardcover booklet we offer here is a hard-to-find example of the identity document and membership book for a member of the Deutsche Stenografenschaft. The shorthand ID inside the front cover is not filled in so the owner of this document was probably a typist or secretary.

The Deutsche Stenografenschaft membership card number 428 in this booklet is made out in the name of Lieselotte Jungnickel who was born in Greifswald on 27 March 1922.

She worked for a company called GLISSA in a place called Nowawes bei Berlin and the booklet pages contain Deutsche Stenografenschaft stamps for the years 1938 through 1941.
Deutsche Stenografenschaft due stamps
The interesting insigne of the Deutsche Stenografenschaft is a flying pencil entwined in a swastika and it is repeated many times on and in this identity document.

This Third Reich identity document is in very good condition.
