This is an unusual period piece. A Third Reich 14-flag golden charm bracelet with tiny but colorful national and other flags and banners linked together. Two of the 14 charms are beautifully made of sterling silver metal and the enamel is definitely hard fired cloisonné (the blue and white Finnish flag and the coat of arms of the Free City of Danzig). The Danzig shield is jeweler made and beautifully enameled in transparent cloisonné. It is stamped on the back C.H. DANZIGER 900. The red and white Polish flag is two-sided and is cloisonné enamel. The colors on all the other flags are soft enamel (Champlève) while the round charm with the swastika in the center is made from German silver metal.
Laid out in a straight line, the bracelet measures just over 7-1/4 inches (185 mm). The flag nearest the spring clasp is a Nazi National Flag - a black swastika on a white circle in a red field. The link which attaches the spring catch to the end of the bracelet is marked AMERIKANER and has the letters AR in a triangle next to a hallmark we can't identify.
These bracelets were very popular at the time of the 1936 Olympics in Nazi Germany. A unique Third Reich piece in very good condition.
