This is a very well-made Third Reich period 32 mm (about 1-1/4 inch) diameter diestruck brass brooch with a safety pin soldered on the back. It is the type of jewelry worn by a lady to pin a scarf around her neck at the collar of a jacket. Of course, it could also be worn on a lapel, a hat or other piece of clothing.
The face of the swastika and the background of the pin both have a hand-hammered appearance and we suspect the piece was made by a jeweler for sale to the public.
Absolutely authentic 60+ year old Third Reich material. Very good condition.
