Subtitled Bildbericht vom Einsatz im Atlantik (a Photo Documentary of a Mission in the Atlantic) this book records every aspect of the life of a German submarine crew hunting the enemy in the Atlantic in 1941. Huge clear photos and substantial captions detail the mission from the loading of food and supplies to casting off, cruising on the surface, operating below the surface, locating and torpedoing enemy ships, navigating, etc.

There is a bookplate in the front that shows that this book was a Christmas gift to a member of 4. Staffel. II. Kampfgeschwader General Wever (a Luftwaffe fighter squadron) in Russia from the Hauptmann and Staffelkapitän. Very good condition.
