This is an absolutely authentic black pebbled leather Wehrmacht correspondence folio measuring approximately 9 x 12 inches with a highly detailed 2-1/2 inch aluminum Nazi eagle and swastika attached to the front cover.
Wehrmacht eagle
This is not an old writing folio which has had an eagle applied to it - it came this way from the factory. We acquired it in Germany in a stack of other writing material.
Wehrmacht correspondence folio
The folio opens to a size of about 12 x 18-1/2 inches. On the left are two leather pockets for envelopes and below them a large pouch covered in cream colored gros grain material to hold writing paper. In the center there is a leather loop to hold a pencil or pen and on the left-hand side there are two sheets of green blotter paper.

The bottom edge shows wear, probably from storing it on a shelf. The general condition is good.
