This is a fine example of the rare 7-1/2 x 10 inch, 144 page, very heavily illustrated full-color hard cover book Unsere Wehrmacht im Kriege - Farbaufnahmen der Propaganda-Kompanien (Our Armed Forces at War - Color Photographs from the Propaganda Companies) by Carl Albert Drewitz as published by Verlagshaus Bong & Co. in Berlin in 1941.
Following a brief 16 page introduction, this rare book contains page after page of the very best full-color photographs taken by war correspondents of the German Waffen-SS, Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe in combat during the first years of World War II under every conceivable circumstance.
The quality of the photography is superb, with big, highly detailed one-to-a-page close-ups of uniforms, helmets, weapons, insigne, field gear, tanks, planes, communications equipment, submarines, torpedo boats, railway guns, ordinary Landsers at war and German soldiers parading on the Champs Elysées in Paris.
There are Luftwaffe crews and their aircraft, Kriegsmarine personnel, submarines and ships, paratroopers, Waffen-SS units and even an underwater diver and Nazi observation balloon.
This is a rare book, seldom seen in this very good condition. The cover shows some wear but the content is in very good condition.
