This is a Nazi era jeweler-personalized brown bakelite jewelry box measuring about 1 inch thick x 2-3/8 x 3-5/8 inches (25 x 60 x 90 mm). The inside of the hinged lid is lined with golden satin imprinted with the name and address of Fritz Schügl, a jeweler that had a shop at number 21 Street of the S.A. in Göttingen, Germany during the Third Reich.
On the top of the lid is a cryptic runic symbol in a circle, said to be the emblem of SS occult consultant Karl Maria Wiligut also known as Karl Maria Weisthor. He is often listed as the designer / manufacturer of the renowned Nazi SS Honor Ring, was said to have been a friend and confidant of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, was an SS Officer and was instrumental in the ceremonies used at the SS Order Castle Wewelsburg.
A matching velvet panel inside the bottom of the box lifts up and out completely, and has several holes in it from the storage of stick pins or tie tacks.
