A NICE SET OF WW2 GERMAN SERVICE BINOCULARS
MADE BY bmk
This is a very nice set of
bmk Wehrmacht Dienstglas
(Military Service Binoculars)
6 x 30 binoculars of the
standard type used by the
Army, Kriegsmarine,
Luftwaffe and the
Waffen-SS during World
War II on all fronts.
| The binoculars bear the serial number 109800 and the Waffenamt code bmk which we are unable to identify but it may have belonged to premier German optical maker Hensoldt of Wetzlar, who definitely used bmj. Each eye piece focusses individually and the right side includes a 0-40 grid on each side of a center line as well as four vertical marks for use in communicating ranging. The grid is at an angle of about 50° from horizontal. |
| The lenses provide a sharp, bright, clear view. They are not chipped, discolored or delaminating. |
| Both end caps on the center pivot are missing (these are 13 mm or about 1/2 inch black aluminum disks held in place with a screw) as is the neck strap. |
This is as fine a set of 6 x 30 binoculars as were made during World War II and they still work wonderfully. They weigh less than 14 ounces! |

This Nazi set of binoculars is **SOLD**.
