Most collectors don’t know it, but because of the huge interest internationally in airships and German Zeppelin airships in particular, a special Zeppelin calendar was available in Germany in 1937. This is the only unused example of the Zeppelin-Kalender we have ever encountered.
The 6-1/2 x 9 inch 52 page Zeppelin-Kalender is printed with large, clear photos alongside a week-at-a-glance style calendar. Each photo has a full caption in both English and German and is perforated so that it may be torn out. The calendars were printed by Verlag W. Spemann in Stuttgart on behalf of the publisher Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH (the Zeppelin factory in Friedrichshafen on the Bodensee).
The pictures show many aspects of Zeppelins under construction, in flight, taking off, landing, above the world’s most beautiful scenery, as well as many of the significant features of modern Zeppelins such as the kitchen, equator ceremonies, the electrical generators, etc.
There is also a portrait of Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin (whose 100th birthday was celebrated on 8 July 1938), and Dr. Hugo Eckener and Dr. Ludwig Dürr.

None of the pages are loose, torn or defaced. Rare when complete and in fine condition as this 72 year old one is.
