The sub-title of this 1936 Nazi book 9. November 1923 is “Day of the First Decision”. Chapters cover the history in Bavaria leading up to the Nazi Putsch, German Day in Nuremberg on 1 and 2 September 1933, Hitler at the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall, the march of the National Socialists to the Feldherrnhalle on the Odeonsplatz in Munich, the failure of the “National Revolution” on 9 November 1923 and the Hitlerprozess, the 1924 trial that followed for Adolf Hitler and his fellow defendants charged with high treason (General Ludendorff, Ernst Röhm, Adolf Hitler's chief adjutant Wilhelm Brückner, future Nazi Minister of the Interior Dr. Wilhelm Frick and future Gauleiter of Munich, Adolf Wagner and others).

The book was written by Karl Richard Ganzer, a German historian, author, and Head of the Munich branch of the Nazi Institute for the History of New Germany. In 1943, at age 34, he was drafted into the Wehrmacht. He died on 11 October 1943 at Vysoky in what is now Belarus and was awarded the Knight’s Cross posthumously on 15 September 1944.

The last page has advertising for other books in Die Junge Reihe series with subjects such as the History of the Nazi Movement, the German Mother, the History of Potsdam, the Creation of the Reich, and more.
