This is the special April / May 1944 double edition of the Germanic SS-Vormingsblad (the Dutch version of SS-Leitheft) published in celebration of the 55th birthday of der Führer, and completely dedicated to Adolf Hitler. Responsible for the content was Department VII-A of the Staff of the Germanic-SS in Wageningen, Holland. The content was for SS service use only and was not to be reproduced without permission.

The 6-¼ x 9-¼ inch, 70-page softcover publication titled Adolf Hitler, Führer aller Germanen (Adolf Hitler, Leader of all Germanic People) starts with a quote from Mein Kampf. This is followed by chapters about Hitler’s interest in art and architecture, his life as a frontline soldier during World War I, his youth, his time in Vienna, the early years of the Nazi Party, his imprisonment in Landsberg after the failed Putsch, Hitler’s role in rebuilding of the Nazi Party in the late 1920s, national elections and becoming Chancellor of Germany in 1933.

This is followed by an overview of National Socialist accomplishments in Germany and the creation of Grossdeutschland followed by an article by SS War Correspondent Walter Best on the LSSAH, the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. The last three pages list the names, date of birth and death and occupations of SS men who died for Adolf Hitler and the German Fatherland in the war between August and December 1943. The occupations include electricians, accountants, hairdressers, tailors, farmers, drivers, salesmen, butchers, etc

Adolf Hitler, Führer aller Germanen has photos of Hitler with the Nazi Blood Flag, at the Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg, as a soldier during WW1, with Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler at the Feldherrnhalle in 1934 and in Vienna during the Anschluß in 1938, and with Himmler and the LSSAH in 1938, etc.

The book is complete with the color print of the famous Hermann Otto Hoyer painting Am Anfang war das Wort, showing a passionate Hitler speaking to a group of attentive laborers (shown at the top of this USMBOOKS web page). This Hoyer painting was displayed at the House of German Art in Munich during the 1937 Greater German Art Exhibition.

Adolf Hitler, Führer aller Germanen is a very rare late-war Dutch language SS publication published by Uitgeverij “Storm” in Amsterdam. This example is complete but it was damp a long time ago, resulting in the content being a bit stained on some pages. However, the rare 77 year old Nazi book is dry and has no musty or damp odor!
