Politische Plakate in Deutschland 1900-1970 (Placards - Political Posters in Germany from 1900 - 1970) is a big, fascinating book published in Germany that contains 166 full-color and black & white full-page reproductions of posters documenting the history of political parties, World War I and World War II, the German labor movement before and after WW2, Weimar Republic, National Socialism, German Jews, East Germany (DDR) and West Germany (BRD).

Our photos show a sampling of the many striking Third Reich posters in this ¾ inch thick, 8-¼ x 11-¾ inch book, but additional content includes everything from 1914 German Women Day event announcements, to posters targeting German soldiers returning to the Fatherland in 1918, pro and anti Communist Party Nazi era election posters, early anti-Jewish NSDAP election posters, anti Treaty of Versailles posters, Hindenburg election posters, early 1930s Goebbels speech announcements and anti-Hitler posters, as well as postwar black market warning posters, communist student proclamations, and anti-nuclear power posters to Volkswagen Beetles advertising.

Assembled by Friedrich Arnold and published by Langewiesche Brandt of Ebenhausen bei München, this is a Third Edition that came out in the fall of 1977. In very nice, little used condition, no odor.
