The German company Neophan was the rough equivalent of Rayban in Germany during the Third Reich. They made all kinds of optical lenses, sunglasses, goggles and eye protective devices. Many of the goggles used by Luftwaffe pilots and army motorcycle dispatch riders were produced by Neophan.
The lot we offer here consists of an original covered aluminum storage box containing four sets (lefts and rights) of lenses to fit Neophan brand goggles. Each lens measures approximately 56 x 102 mm and most are marked with an L or an R for LINKS (left) and RECHTS (right). Each set comes in its own 3-piece separated compartment cloth cover and four sets completely fill the aluminum storage box. One set is clear glass, one set is light green glass and two sets are dark green glass. All the lenses appear to be new and are without scratches, chips or cracks.
An extremely rare artifact for any collector of German field gear and priceless replacements if you have Neophan goggles with broken lenses.
